New Hubs for Zeon

Picked up some Eagle R31 rear hubs & C hubs for the zeon as Kazama's don't seem to be in production anymore, i never really liked the 13 degree C hubs i had for it always felt like too much castor to me. So i went with Eagles V2 r31 C hub that has plastic shims for adjustable castor you can choose between 8,12 or 16 degree i went with 8 deg.Then a just a set of their alloy rear hubs to finish off the alloy stuff on this chassis.

Looking through old pics found this of when i just got the ZEON.

Tail Slider & D' Magic Treats & "finished" CE-RX

Got a little order of parts in from Tail Slider and R'Wing / D'magic

Got the TS ZEON front brace as there are clearance issues with the knuckle tie rod once you run the aftermarket steering wiper these curve the other way to give you a heap more clearance.

And picked up the TS spur holder for no reason other than i like it haha

Got the D'Magic light bucket set for a S14 project

And a wing for my 180SX project

All the re-anodized parts are fitted to the CE-RX now so it's pretty much how i want it now

The red isn't a perfect match but close enough happy with how this servo horn turned out seeing it was Tamiya blue after a de-anodize and polish it came up nice .

Roll mod back on again

Ran at the warehouse again today and had issues with understeer changed some settings but was still there.Then realized last time i was there i had the roll mod fitted so chucked it back on and felt an improvement so looks like it will be staying on.Seems its not really necessary on higher grip surfaces but on slick polished concrete it helps.

I guess these extra thick shock towers for the OTA Zeon are to add weight to the chassis they look heavy 

Warehouse Meet

Went out to our fortnightly warehouse meets bunch of fun as usual although a bit chaotic at times. Car ran fine a few small tweaks to suit the surface that's all it needed. Took a few phone pics if the setup and a few guys took a few pics of me.

First run with roll mod

So I put together the roll mod setup tonight and gave it a test run on my small track in my garage.

First thought was not much difference a little more understeer but after a few laps I notice it seemed to pivot around the front wheels a little more. I'll give it a shot at our warehouse meet this weekend to see if I can feel the difference on a more open track where I can get more chassis roll happening.

Test & Tune

Did a little tuning of shock positions last night. Nothing too exciting but just trying to get this blog happening. Went in one position on the top and innermost on the bottom arm in the rear it took out some of the twitchiness I had.
