Lazy Sunday + Carbon Wrap = Little Details

Sitting around tinkering on sunday and ended up putting carbon wrap in a few things

Top of servo
Capacitor on ESC

Also added new red turn buckles to finish it off

The Zeon got some carbon too

                                                                 servo mounts

                                                                   battery holder
                                                                  diffuser ends
The ZEON hasn't been getting much love lately but a friend just got the new MK4 so will be interesting to see how they compare, Might make me a little more interested in it as ive been focusing on the CE-RX so much.

Crimson Lightening arrived...

My RC-Art crimson lightening arrived today, I've been wanting one of these for ages now but they haven't done another production run on a year or so, pics of the new prototype have popped up to but can't get word on a release. Browsing yahoo auctions this one popped up for a reasonable price so I jumped on it.
Here it is fresh out the box, I was relived to see it is in great condition only a few marks here and there seems the last owner took good care of it.i gave it a clean and look over everything seems to be fine. Started to fit the electronics out of the VDF Keyence 10.5T & Tachyon Aria, still needs a few things and tidy ups.
So here's my current chassis VDF roller (sold this week) OTA Zeon and the Crimson Lightening. Need to see if I can get the Kazama bits anodised red.

Castor

I wanted to up the castor on the zeon so i have a back order placed for Kazama C hubs because the blue are out of stock. While i wait for them to come i decided to get some 13 degree Eagle Racing c hubs for the time being as i needed to order one of their stealth mount kits for my other chassis as they are the ones i like. Buying a few items makes the shipping cost more worth while too, I usually try to steer clear of the eagle stuff as i'm not a huge fan of the quality and finish. Had a few small issues with the C hubs first off the suspension pins barely fitted through the hubs and second the mounting point for the steering knuckles was too wide for the Kazama knuckles, they fit perfectly with the Street Jam hubs.So what i ended up doing was slightly bending the C hub closed a little, they work fine now but its another reason to steer clear of the cheaper stuff,i guess you get what you pay for but hey will do until the other hubs arrive and they didn't cost much.
